Aviation Cleaner
Basic Function:
Perform cleaning, stripping, carbon removal, solvent and glass bead processing on P&W PT6 & RR T56/501D Engine/QEC Parts & Components in accordance with approved data, repair routing and published work scopes.
Essential duties are as follows but are not limited to:
- Recognize work scope instructions on cleaning statement of work.
- Be cognizant of part segregation on racks for various cleaning instructions i.e. solvent only, scrap parts do not clean, clean but do not strip paint or coatings etc.
- Perform cleaning processes as required IAW published work scopes, applicable technical instruction and approved data.
- Ensuring proper preservation, protection and storage of parts including no metal-to-metal contact.
- Provide component, module WO WIP status.
- Perform necessary electronic transactions in Quantum.
- Tank and chemical maintenance requirements to ensure effectiveness.
- Ordering of controlled chemicals for replenishment.
Requirements:
- Three to six (3-6) months’ experience working as an aviation parts cleaner or currently attending or recent graduate of aviation school.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English.
- Be able to meet physical demands in handling large bulky parts.
Basic Schedule:
7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday, additional time as needed.
